Collection / handover
The camera body and 64-GB SD card are checked together at handover. The lens, recording format and required card class will be agreed to suit the shoot; particularly data-intensive formats may require the optional CFexpress Type A card. Recordings must be backed up before return.
Compatibility
Sony E-mount. Both memory card slots accept CFexpress Type A or SD/SDHC/SDXC with UHS-I/UHS-II. Data-intensive XAVC S-I formats are subject to Sony's specific VPG or V-class requirements; an arbitrary 64-GB SD card will not automatically be sufficient. The WEEBILL 2 lists the α7S III in the manufacturer's compatibility information, but control functions and balancing still depend on the cable, firmware, lens and setup.

Detailed description

The Sony α7S III is designed for video, high frame rates and difficult lighting conditions. Its 12.1-megapixel full-frame sensor, fast hybrid autofocus and 5-axis stabilisation support both mobile productions and controlled shoots. Internal 4K recording is available at up to 100/120p with 10-bit 4:2:2; Full HD slow motion reaches up to 200/240p in S&Q mode. Two combined card slots accept CFexpress Type A or fast SDXC media, depending on the format.
