Glotzkowski – music project by Dennis Kern

Basically, Glotzkowski is my “collection project”. I wanted to upload music quickly so I could access it anywhere, without a big plan or strategy. At first, there was a lot of electronic music, followed by instrumental music as well. Put simply, anything I could not quite place in another project ended up here.

At the beginning of 2021 I produced a track called “Butterfly Effect”. To be honest, I never wanted to release it. A friend persuaded me to upload it a year later, and that was the turning point: the song went viral surprisingly quickly and now has around 22 billion streams (mainly on Instagram and Facebook).

The most amazing part is that the largest audience comes from India, closely followed by Brazil. I never dreamed of this worldwide response, and I love every single clip made with the sound.

For me, Glotzkowski is more than a name. It is that free, playful attitude of “I upload whatever I feel like” , without categories or pressure. Sometimes that is when the best things happen.
